Breastfeeding Friendly Hospital (BFH), India is a joint initiative of Breastfeeding Promotion Network of India (BPNI) and Association of Health Care Providers in India (AHPI) to improve standards of care for early breastfeeding and skin to skin contact within an hour of birth. BPNI follows a stringent funding policy, which states, “BPNI does not accept funds or any support from the companies manufacturing baby foods, feeding bottles or infant feeding related equipments and does not associate with organizations having conflicts of Interest.” Hence, Individual must declare themselves free from conflict of interest to facilitate our decision-making for their request to become an authorized external assessor. In the past five years, I have not sought or accepted any contribution, gifts or any monetary benefits for me or my family from manufactures of infant milk substitutes, infant foods and feeding bottles. In the past five years I have not sought or accepted funding of seminars, meeting, conference, educational course, contest, fellowship, research work, sponsorship for the association/its branches/chapters and I am not a member or office bearer, from manufactures of infant milk substitutes, infant foods and feeding bottles. In the past five years I have not collaborated with baby food corporations/ allied organizations/foundations/institutes/front organizations and alike.
